June 2026. We visited our factory in Tuscany, Italy, after a long time. As we entered the factory, the scent of leather filled the air. And there were the two artisans, just as we remembered them. FATTORIA del CUOIO is a brand born with this factory. FATTORIA del CUOIO began with the factory FATTORIA del CUOIO is a brand launched by us, who plan in Japan, and a factory in Tuscany, Italy. Our relationship with the two craftsmen goes back over 20 years. They used to work in the factory of a brand for which we handled planning and served as the exclusive import agent. Later, they became independent and set up their own factory. FATTORIA del CUOIO began with that factory. We didn't search for a factory and then find them. We started a new brand with people we had worked with for many years. Even today, the two craftsmen continue to make belts, working together. A relationship spanning over 20 years Every time I visit the factory, there's a scene that never changes. They work silently with their hands, finishing each belt one by one. We conceive the designs, and they give them form. It sounds simple when put into words, but this accumulation has continued for over 20 years. FATTORIA del CUOIO is built upon this trusting relationship. The FATTORIA del CUOIO logo is also carefully stamped onto each belt. The first sight at the factory When we visit the factory, we always look at the leather storage area. Have new leathers arrived? What colors are lined up? What kind of leather textures are there? It's an ordinary sight, but seeing it somehow gives us a glimpse into the factory's current state. Even after visiting for over 20 years, it's a place our feet naturally lead us to. Belt making begins with selecting a single piece of leather. Because there are people working with their hands FATTORIA del CUOIO belts are designed in Japan and made in Italy. However, this doesn't simply mean overseas production. For one belt to be completed, there are many intricate steps: Assessing the condition of the leather. Adjusting the thickness. Finishing the braiding. Supporting these steps are the skills of artisans who have been involved in belt making for many years. We come up with the plans and designs. They bring them to life. Without either one, a FATTORIA del CUOIO belt would not be complete. Stitching is also carefully finished one by one with a sewing machine.
